If a patient is found to be bradycardic, and ABCDE approach has been applied, what needs to be considered next?
A
The presence of adverse features:
- shock
- syncope
- myocardial ischaemia
- heart failure

If the patient is bradycardic and has adverse features, what will they be given?
A
Atropine 500 mcg IV

What happens if the patient does not have a satisfactory response to Atropine and is still bradycardic?
A
Repeat Atropine to a max of 3mg OR Transcutaneous pacing OR Isoprenaline 5mcg per min IV Adrenaline 2-10mcg per min IV

If the patient is bradycardic and has no adverse features, what will they be given?
A
Nothing, UNLESS
they are at risk of asystole

A
Recent asystole
Mobitz II AV block
Complete heart block with broad QRS
Ventricular pause >3s
