She is abused, stol’n from me, and corrupted - shows themes of racism and control/possession as she is “stol’n”
I had rather to adopt a child than get it - disowns her for societal and personal reasons
She has deceived her father, and may thee - lost all trust and faith in his daughter and is then off stage for the rest of the play

Uncle Gratiano - “Poor Desdemona! I am glad thy father’s dead” - States that her father had died from a broken heart due to the marriage and he is happy he didn’t have to see this
