Object in the eye
Try to blink it out and if that does not work use clean water and flush it.
Bite of a warm blooded animal
Clean the bite with soap and water cover it and go get medical help.
Splinter
Gently clean around the splinter then use sterile tweezers to pull it out.
Nail
Gently clean around the nail with soap and water cover the nail then go get medical help.
Fishook
If you get a fishook stuck inside you tie a 3 foot long line of fishing line around the hook, put pressure on the end of the ring of the hook and pull the string out. Then clean the wound. If any signs of infection occur seek medical help.
Second degree burn
Apply wet cloth to the burned area until pain stops. Let burn dry off then apply gauze pad.
Heat Exhaustion
Take victim into a shady area and fan them and apply cold wet towels on them. If they are fully aware give them water. Let them rest and stay hydrated
Shock
Shock is when a person is injured or very stressed the circulatory system might not provide enough blood to all parts of the body. This can cause organ failure and be life threatening.
Symptoms are weakness, restlessness, extreme thirst, nausea and throwing up, clammy and pale skin.
To treat for shock place victim in the recovery position and call for help.
Heat Stroke
Call for help then move victim in a air conditioned room or shady area. Loosen tight clothing and further cool the skin by fanning and applying wet cloths. If you have ice packs, wrap them and place them in the victims armpits neck or groin. If the person is able to drink give them small sips of water.
Dehydration
Drink water and rest.
Hypothermia
Move person into a tent or shelter. Remove wet clothes and put them in dry clothes. Put them in a sleeping bag blankets or anything to make them warmer. If conscious give them warm liquids. Cover bottles with warm liquids and put them in the neck groin or armpit areas.
Hyperventilation
Tell them to take 1 deep breath every 5 seconds
Stopped Breathing
Call 911
Open up airways by tilting head upwards
Give two rescue breaths
Choking
Give 5 back blows then perform the Heimlich maneuver
No Heartbeat
Call 911
Have person rest
Perform CPR
