Anterior of forearm. 2 fingers down and under body of muscle.
Palpate Radial head
Distal from lateral epicondyle
Palpate Greater tubercle
Falls off end of acromion process
Palpate Bicipital grove of Humerus
Straight up anatomical arm
Palpate Lesser tubercle of humerus
Medial to bicipital grove of humerus
Palpate Deltoid tubercosity of humerus
Halfway down humerus - where deltoid attaches
Palpate Coranoid process of Ulna
Palpate Medial epicondyle
Medial to olecranon process
Palpate Lateral epicondyle
Lateral to olecranon process
Palpate Olecranon process
Elbow
Palpate Olecranon fossa
Cavity of elbow
Palpate Lateral supracondyle ridge of the humerus
Proximal to the lateral epicondyle
Palpate SPC2 (Axis)
Located just below the ridge of the EOP
Palpate SPC6 & 7
- Cut in along shoulders
- Most prominent bone is C7
- C6 drops away when head is raised (client is prone)
Palpate SPT3, T4 and T5
- Follow Spine of scapula down to T5
- Count up to T3
Palpate SPT7
Follow Inferior Angle of Scapula up 45 degrees to T7
Palpate SPT12
Follow bottom of ribs straight across to T12
Palpate SPL4 and L5
Straight across from the Iliac Crest is SPL4 and drop down one to L5
Palpate the Maxilla
Inferior to the nose
Palpate the nasal bones
Palpate your Zygomatic bones
