Irregular, wedge-shaped bone at the base of the skull, helps form base of the cranium, sides of the skull, and floor and sides of eye sockets
Ethmoid bone
Light, spongy bone located at the roof and sides of the nose, separates nasal cavity from the brain, forms the portion of each orbit
Auditory ossicles
Malleus, incus, stapes
Nasal bones
Upper part of the bridge of the nose
Zygomatic bones
Cheeckbones, articulate with the frontal bone that makes up the forehead
Maxillary bones
Form most of the upper jaw, maxillae
Palatine bones
Form anterior part of the hard palate of the mouth and floor of the nose
