Q

Acromion of Scapula

A

Lateral wraparound edge of spine of scapula located at top of shoulder. Has flat surface and articulates with clavicle lateral end.
-acromial angle is small corner that can be felt alon acromion’s lateral/posterior edge.

Q

Clavicle

A

Superficial and horizontal bone located across upper chest and has gentle S shape.
Both ends of clavicle superficial.
-Lateral end relatively flat and rises slightly higher than acromion
-Medial end is round and articulates with sternum

16
Q

Greater Tubercle of Humerus

A

Located inferior and lateral to acromion. Shaped more like low mound than pointy hill.

17
Q

Intertubercular Groove

A

Situated between greater and lesser tubercles, roughly a pencil’s width in diameter.

18
Q

Lesser Tubercle of Humerus

A

Smaller than greater tubercle, and medial to greater tubercle on head of humerus.

19
Q

Olecranon Process

A

Proximal end of ulna, articulates with distal humerus. Forms point of elbow

20
Q

Olecranon Fossa

A

Large cavity on posterior, distal end of humerus designed to accommodate olecranon process when elbow extended.

21
Q

Medial Epicondyle of Humerus

A

Directly medial from olecranon process. Superficial and has protruding, spherical shape.

22
Q

Lateral Epicondyle of Humerus

A

Smaller than medial epicondyle, and is lateral to olecranon process.

23
Q

Lateral Supracondylar Ridge of Humerus

A

Extends proximally from epicondyle, located superficially.

24
Q

Medial Supracondylar Ridge of Humerus

A

Extends proximally from epicondyle. Medial Ridge sinks into arm, situated close to ulnar nerve.

25
Q

Shaft of Ulna

A

Long, straight shaft extending from olecranon process to head of ulna.
Superficial, palpable edge that runs along forearm’s posterior medial aspect (in anatomical position)

26
Q

Head of Ulna

A

Superficial knob visible along posterior, medial side of wrist (in anatomical position) that can disrupt placement of watchband.

27
Q

Shaft of Radius

A

Located on lateral side (thumb side) of forearm, most of shaft of radius buried under muscle tissue.

28
Q

Head of Radius

A

Distal to humerus’s lateral epicondyle, it forms radius’s proximal end and has circular, bell shape. Pivoting point for supination/pronation of forearm.

29
Q

Styloid Process of Radius

A

On inside of wrist, near thumb (lateral side of radius) - wider, more substantial mound of bone

30
Q

Lister’s Tubercle

A

(Aka. Dorsal Tubercle) top of wrist - small knob; located on dorsal surface of radial styloid process; feels like small oblong point on radius about an inch away from head of radius
