Tend to be from BLT + KP sauce
B - Breast
L - Lung
T - Thyroid
K - Kidneys
P - Prostate
*Most lytic lesions except prostate which is sclerotic*

A

Pain
Pathological fracture
Usually in axial skeleton

What is an osteochondroma?

A

Commonest benign bone tumour
Cartilage capped bony projections develop on the surface of bones esp the knee. May be due to previous trauma
Happens in 10-20s

What is a chondrosarcoma?

A

Malignant neoplasm of the cartilage
Pain + lump develop, usually in p’s >40
Can arise from chondromas
On X-ray - lytic lesion with a fluffy ‘Popcorn calcification’

A
Most common primary bone malignancy
Malignant tumour of bone
Usually in adolescents
Pain, warm, bruit over metaphyisis
On x-ray see periosteal reaction of sunburst appearance, codman's triangle
