Bone tumor within the epiphysis with Soap Bubble appearance
Giant Cell tumor
Bone tumor with RankL upregulation?
Giant cell tumor
Most common benign bone tumor
Osteochondroma
Osteochondroma location
Metaphysis with lateral projectile growth
Lateral projecctive growth with cartilaginous cap
Osteochondroma
Osteocommondroma
Most common benign tumor
Found in facial bones
Gardners syndrome
Osteoooma
“Ooom in the garden”
Sinus pressure, sinus tumor
Osteoma
Painful bone tumor releived by NSAIDs?
Osteoid osteoma
Cortical bone tumor with sclerotic margins and radiolucent core
small intralesional nidus?
Osteoid osteoma
Small cortical sclerotic margins, radiolucent core, found commonly in the vertebrae
Painful, not releived with NSAID
Osteoblastoma!!
Mononuclear Rank-L expressing cells
Giant cell tumor
Seen in young teenage males in the metaphysis
Risk factors: Lis Fromani syndrome, Retinoblastoma, Paget disease, Radiation
Osteosarcoma
Sunburst appearance on X-ray
Codmanns triangle
Osteosarcoma
Tumor occuring in the medulla of the pelvis and central skeleton
Ostochondroma
Tumor occuring in children younger than 15 in the diaphysis of long bones
Ewing sarcoma
Onion skin appearance on radiographs
Ewing sarcoma
Small blue cells resembling lymphocytes that are neuroectodermal?
Ewings Sarcoma
Over expression of EWS-FLI1
Seen with T11,22 translocation in Ewings sarcoma
Punched out osteolytic lesions
Multiple Myeloma
Osteoclasts with numerous nuclei
Giant Cell Tumor!
Large diameter nidus > 1.5 cm
Osteoblastomas
Also known for eroding surround bone
Small diameter nidus with small surrounding sclerotic bone
Osteoid osteoma
Produce prostoglandins causing pain!
Pleomorphic osteoblasts forming toooooo much osteoid tissue in the metaphysis
Osteosarcoma
AKA OsteoStarcoma
pRb and p 53 protein malformations
Results in familial retinoblastoma and Lisch Fraumini syndrome
Osteosarcoma!
Mass within medullary cavity
Chondrosarcoma
Moth eaten appearance
