Abort Start Procedure
- PCL - OFF; or STARTER switch - AUTO/RESET.
Emergency Shutdown on the Ground
- PCL - OFF
- FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE - PULL
- Emergency Ground Egress - As Required
Emergency Ground Egress
- ISS mode selector - SOLO
- Seat Safety Pin - Install (BOTH)
- PARKING BRAKE - as required
- Canopy - Open
IF CANOPY CANNOT BE OPENED, OR SITUATION REQUIRES RIGHT EGRESS:
5. CFS Handle - Rotate 90 counter clockwise & Pull (BOTH)
6. Upper fittings, lower fittings & leg restraint garters - RELEASE (BOTH)
7. BAT, GEN and AUX BAT switches - OFF
8. Evacuate Aircraft
Abort
- PCL - IDLE
- BRAKES - AS REQUIRED
EFATO (Sufficient RWY remaining ahead)
- AIRSPEED - 110 KTS (MIN)
- PCL - AS REQUIRED
- EMER LDG GEAR HANDLE - PULL (AS REQUIRED)
- Flaps - As required
Engine Failure During Flight
- ZOOM/GLIDE - 125KTS (MIN)
- PCL - OFF
- INTERCEPT ELP
- Airstart - Attempt if warranted
IF CONDXNS DO NOT WARRANT AN AIRSTART
5. FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE - Pull
6. Execute Forced Landing or Eject.
Immediate Airstart (PMU NORM)
- PCL - OFF
- STARTER SWITCH - AUTO/RESET
- PCL - IDLE, ABOVE 13% N1
- Engine instruments - Monitors ITT, N1 and Oil Px
IF AIRSTART UNSUCCESSFUL:
5. PCL - OFF
6. FIREWALL SHUTOFF Handle - Pull
7. Execute Forced Landing or Eject.
IF AIRSTART SUCCESSFUL:
8. PCL - As required after N1 reaches IDLE RPM (Approx 67% N1)
9. PEL - Execute
Uncommanded Power Changes/Loss of Power/Uncommanded Propeller Feather
- PCL - MID RANGE
- PMU SWITCH - OFF
- PROP SYS CIRCUIT BREAKER (Left front consol) - PULL , IF NP STABLE BELOW 40%
- PCL - As required
IF POWER IS INSUFFICIENT FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT:
5. PEL - Execute
IF POWER IS INSUFFICIENT TO COMPLETE PEL:
6. PROP SYS circuit breaker - Reset, as required
7. PCL - OFF
8. FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE - PULL
9. Execute Forced Landing or Eject
Compressor Stalls
- PCL - Slowly retard below stall threshold
- DEFOG switch - ON
- PCL - Slowly advance (as required)
IF POWER IS SUFFICIENT FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT:
4. PEL - Execute
IF POWER IS INSUFFICIENT TO COMPLETE PEL:
1. PCL - OFF
2. FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE - Pull
3. Execute Forced Landing or Eject
Inadvertent Departure From Controlled Flight
- PCL - IDLE
- CONTROLS - NEUTRAL
- ALTITUDE - CHECK
- Recover from unusual attitude
Fire In Flight
IF FIRE IS CONFIRMED:
1. PCL - OFF
2. FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE - PULL
IF FIRE IS EXTINGUISED:
3. Forced Landing - Execute
IF FIRE DOES NOT EXTINGUISH OR FORCED LANDING IS IMPRACTICAL:
4. Eject (Both)
IF FIRE IS NOT CONFIRMED:
5. PEL - Execute
Chip Detector Warning
- PCL - Minimum necessary to intercept ELP; avoid unnecessary PCL movements.
- PEL: Excute
Oil System Malfunction or Low Oil Pressure
IF RED OIL PX WARNING ILLUMINATES AND/OR AMBER OIL PX CAUTION REMAINS ILLUMINATED FOR 5 SECONDS, OIL PX FLUCTUATIONS, OR OIL TEMP OUT OF LIMITS:
- PCL - Minimum necessary to intercept ELP; avoid unnecessary PCL movements.
- PEL: Excute
High Fuel Flow
- PEL - EXECUTE
OBOGS Fail Message
- PCL - Advance
OBOGS Failure/ Physiological Symptoms
- GREEN RING - PULL (AS REQUIRED)
Eject
- EJECTION HANDLE - PULL (BOTH)
Forced Landing
- Airspeed - 125KIAS prior to extending landing gear
- EMER LDG GR handle - Pull (as required)
- Airspeed - 120 KIAS minimum until intercepting final; 110 KIAS minimum on final.
- Flaps - As required
Precautionary Emergency Landing (PEL)
- Turn to nearest suitable field.
- Climb or accelerate to intercept ELP.
- Gear, flaps, speed brake - UP
Brakes Ineffective or Pulling to One Side
- Maintain directional control using rudder
- Brakes: RELEASE
- TRIM INTERRUPT - PRESS & HOLD
- Brakes - REAPPLY, STOP NORMALLY
