Cabin altitude warning or rapid depressurisation

A
  1. Don oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%.
  2. Establish crew communications (boom/mask switch)
  3. Pasteurisation Mode selector- MAN
  4. Outflow valve switch- Hold in CLOSE until fully closed
  5. If cabin altitude is uncontrollable
    Passenger signs - ON
    Pass oxygen switch - ON
    Continue to Emergency Descent Checklist

Emergency descent

A
  1. Announce the emergency descent. PF will advise the cabin crew on the PA of impending rapid descent. PM will advise ATC and obtain the area altimeter setting.
  2. Passenger signs. - ON
  3. Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet whichever is higher.
  4. Engine start switches- CONT
  5. Thrust levers both. - min (for anti ice)
  6. Speed Break – FLIGHT DETENT
    If structural integrity in doubt limit speed and manoeuvre
  7. Set target speed to MMO/VMO.

Engine fire or engine, severe damage or separation

A
  1. Auto throttle – disengage.
  2. Thrust lever.(affected engine) - confirm -IDLE
  3. Engine start lever(affected engine)– confirm- CUTOFF
  4. Engine fire switch.(affected engine.)– confirm – PULL
  5. if engine fire switch or ENG 0VERHEAT light is illuminated, engine fire switch – rotate to stop and hold for 1 second

Runaway stabiliser

A
  1. control column – hold firmly
  2. Auto pilot – disengage
  3. Auto throttle – disengage
  4. Control column and thrust as needed to control pitch attitude and airspeed.
  5. main electric stabiliser trim – reduce control loads
  6. IF runaway stopped after auto pilot disengaged, do not re-engage auto pilot or auto throttle
  7. IF Runaway continues after autopilot disengage, stabiliser trim cut out switches - CUTOUT
  8. IF runaway continues – stabiliser trim wheel – grasp and hold

  4. Set the following pitch and thrust.
    - flaps extended – 10° and 80% N1

Loss of thrust on Both Engines

A
  1. ENGINE START switches (both) - FLT
  2. ENGINE start levers (both) - CUTOFF
  3. When EGT decreases:
    ENGINE start levers (both) - IDLE detent
  4. IF EGT reaches redline or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds:
    Engine start lever(affected engine) - confirm- CUTOFF then IDLE detent

IF EGT again reaches a redline or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds, repeat as needed

Evacuation (Non boldface)

  1. Parking Brake - Set
  2. Speed brake lever- Down
  3. Flap Lever - 40
  4. Pressurisation mode selector - MAN
  5. Outflow valve switch - Hold in OPEN until valve indication shows fully open
  6. IF time allows, ensure flaps are 40 before engine start levers are moved
  7. Engine start levers (both) - CUTOFF
  8. Advise the cabin to evacuate
  9. Advise ATC
  10. Engine and APU fire switches (all) - Override and pull
  11. IF an engine fire is observed or indicated- related fire switch - rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
