what do scientists describe the aging process

A

aging is caused by cells dying or being replaced more
slowly slowly. This process results in changes to the structure and function of major body systems. Our skin wrinkles, our bones lose their density, and our ability to fight off disease is weakened.

You grow because cells divide in your body even when your done growing your body continues to divide cells . It does this because cells are constantly dying and need to be replaced .

A cell may also destroy itself, if the genetic material in its nucleus is damaged or if something inside the cell goes wrong. What happens if cells begin to divide uncontrollably? The result is cancer.
