Circulatory system
Heart, blood, blood vessels, arteries, veins and capillaries transports blood contaiining all type of blood cells throughout body
Lymphatic system
Lymph vessels and nodes that carry a clear fluid called lymph contains white blood cells. Wbc are called lymphocytes that fight diseadr and play important role in immunity
Digestive system
Brings food into body and breaks down so it enters bloodstream. Food that cannot be broken down is removed at end of body as waste. Organs in system include mouth stomach and intestine
Endocrine system
Composed of glands sends chemical messengers ( hormones) into blood to act on other glands and organs. Examples are thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands.
Female and male reproductive
Produce the cells ( eggs and sperm) that join to form in the embryo which develops in the uterus of female. Male ( testes) and female ( ovaries) sex organs produce sex hormones as well
Musculoskeletal system
Muscles, bones, joints, and connective tissues such as cartilage, supports body and allows it to move
Nervous system
Carries electrical messages to and from the brain and spinal cord
Respiratory system
Controls breathing, a process by which air enters and leaves the body. Includes windpipe, bronchial tube and lungs and trachea
Skin and sense organ system
Including skin, eyes and ears. Receives messages from the environment and sends them back to the brain. Retina is a layer of sensitive receptor tissue in the back of the eye
Urinary system
Produces urine and sends it out of the body through the kidneys, ureters, bladders, and urethra.

Located in the head and surrounded by the skull
