-but not that specific: also elevated in many other gyn cancers (fallopian tube, endometrial) and nongynecologic (pancreatic, lung, breast, colon)

(a) late stage
(b) early stage
(a) Ovarian cancer presents late- 75% present in stage III/IV disease
(b) Endometrial cancer caught early
Taxol
Chemotherapy combo drug: carboplastin + paclitaxel
Ideal contraception for F w/ h/o DVT
Need to avoid estrogens b/c of coagulation risk => can use progestin-only options
- Minipills = progestin only pills
- Mirena = progestin-containing IUD
Possible option for longer-acting (not daily) contraception for F on warfarin
Depo-provera: q3 mo injection of progesterone only
-causes amenorrhea (decreased or no bleeding) in 50% at one year
Ideal contraception option for 36 yo F heavy smoker
