Q

ratio for infants and children (multiple rescuers)

A

1 recuer 30:2
2 rescuer 15:2

more breaths per compression (children likely to arrest due to BREATHING issues not cardiac)

18
Q

how to handle choking infant

A

alternate between back blows and chest compression while supporting infant’s chest

19
Q

if choking pt becomes unresponsive? what to do

A

START CPR, and LOOK FOR FOREIGN BODY

20
Q

why to allow for full recoil of chest?

A

leaning can reduce venous return and decrease myocardial blood flow
