What is antibody?
proteins that protect you when an unwanted substance enters your body. For example in the plasma of your blood there are antibodies. These antibodies fight off the wrong blood type entering your body. For example type A blood has B antibodies. They are antiB So if somebody is donating Type B blood into your body and you have type A blood these type B antibodies will read it as unknown substances and fight them unwanted blood cells.
Type A blood
Has B antibodies.
Type B blood
Has A antibodies
Type AB blood
Has no antibodies. Therefore, they can receive any type of blood.
Type O Blood
Has AB Antibodies, but no antigens. Therefore, they can donate their blood to any type. UNIVERSAL DONOR. BUT they can only receive type O blood. They can donate to any type but can only receive type O blood.
Agglutination
Happen when the wrong type of blood enters the body. And the blood clumps up forming blood clots, which can lead to death.
Rh
Determines if you have negative or positive blood. This is a type of antigen named D. So if you have the letter D around your blood cells you are positive. If you are missing the letter you are negative.
What type of blood can type A receive into the body?
A AND O
*****O HAS NO ANTIGENS FOR THE ANTIBODIES TO REJECT IT.
Can not receive type b.
ANTIB (antibodies)
What type of blood can be type B receive?
B,O
ANTIA (ANTIBODIES)
O HAS NO ANTIGENS FOR THE ANTIBODIES TO ATTACK.
What type of blood can AB receive?
ANY TYPE. YOU CAN RECEIVE TYPE A OR TYPE B AND ALSO O
**AB HAS NO ANTIBODIES
O HAS 0 ANTIGENS
What type of blood can O receive into the body?
O ONLY O CAN RECEIVE O BLOOD.
O has antiA and antiB antibodies.
Xenotranfusion (ZENOTRANFUSION)
MIX ANIMAL BLOOD WITH HUMAN BLOOD.
