What is a heart and it’s functions?
The heart is a very important organ. It pumps blood into blood vessels to all parts of the body. It is a muscular organ which is approximately the size of a clenched fist.
Where is the exact location of the heart?
It is located in the middle of chest, slightly to the left.
What is the function of B. C. S.?
It transports substances and protects the body against diseases and germs
What is the function of Plasma?
Plasma is a yellowish fluid. It transports water and dissolved substances such as salts, sugars, hormones and dissolved oxygen to all parts of the body.
What are Red Blood Cells and it’s function?
- Red in colour because they have a pigment called Haemoglobin
- Large Numbers in quantity
- Small in size
- Biconcave Disc Shape
- No Nucleus
Function : It transports oxygen to all parts of the body.
Describe white blood cells and its functions.
- Colourless as it has no pigment
- Larger in size
- Fewer in quantity
- Irregular Shape
- It has a Nucleus
Function: It protects the body against diseases.
what are platelets and it’s functions?
Platelets are small fragments of cells found in blood.
Function :
- It helps in blood clotting
- It prevents excessive loss of blood at injury site.
