16
Q

What happens to a clot during fribrinolysis

A

It dissolves

17
Q

Fibrinolysis

A

A process that prevents blood clots that occur naturally from growing and causing problems.

18
Q

Describe Sickle Cell Anemia.

A

It’s a recessive (need two 2 defective copies of gene) genetic disorder where RBC’s are sickle shaped which makes them fragile and easily damaged. Sickled RBC’s can clog narrow vessels. Gene to look out for is low hemoglobin levels.
