Mission Commander (MC)
In command of the aircraft and responsible for the safe and orderly conduct of the flight
Aircraft Commander (AC)
second in command and responsible for assisting the AC
obtains navigational data and equipment such as maps, charts, flight publications, needed for mission
Copilot (2P/3P)
provides support and back-up info during critical phases of flight (take-off, approach, landing, etc.) to other flight deck personnel
responsible for configuring and using radar to conduct rendezvous portion of air refueling evolution
Off Duty Pilot (ODP)
directly responsible to AC for the mechanical condition and operation of the aircraft
Flight Engineer (FE)
directly responsible for all functions of FE while under direct supervision
Second Flight Engineer (2E)
responsible for EAMs and other important message traffic being received or transmitted to or from the aircraft
the sole releasing authority for all EAMs during TACAMO missions
Combat Systems Officer (CSO)
organizes and supervises the communications phase of the mission; attends briefings and furnishes pilot and crewmembers with communication schedules, etc
Airborne Communicationsn Officer (ACO)
enlisted leader for communications
Communications Watch Officer (CWO)
operates the special communications equipment in support of the communications phase of the mission; performs preflight inspection of special communications equipment.
