Epigastric hernia
A
Protrusion of extra peritoneal fat or a small piece of greater omentum through a defect in the linea alba above the umbilicus and may trap a portion of intestine

A
Portion of intestine protrudes through a weak spot in the inguinal canal or in the inguinal triangle.

Umbilical hernia
A
Occurs due to failure of the midgut to return to the abdomen early in fetal life, occurs as a protrusion of the bowel through the natural weak spot of the umbilicus.
