Blessings Flashcards
Deuteronomy 28:2-13
All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock – the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity – in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground – in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
Deut 28 2-13
Isaiah 44:3-5
For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. 4 They shall spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams. 5 This one will say, ‘I am the LORD’s,’ another will call on the name of Jacob, and another will write on his hand, ‘The LORD’s,’ and name himself by the name of Israel.
Isaiah 44:3-5
CHILDREN
Proverbs 20:7 The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him.
Proverbs 20:7
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord brings true riches, And He adds no sorrow to it for it comes as a blessing from God.
Good success comes from the Lord. It is success that has no sorrow or grief added to it. So depend on Jesus’ unmerited favor to bring you to a place of good success. Don’t say, “I’ll do it my way!” Let Him do it. Let Him open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Let Him put you at the right place at the right time. Keep your eyes on Him and not the things you have or want. This will keep you walking in the kind of success that truly blesses you and makes you a blessing to others.
2 Corinthians 9:8, 10-11 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
2 Corinthians 9:8-10
2 Samuel 7:25-29
And now, Lord God, keep for ever the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised, so that your name will be great for ever. Then people will say, “The Lord Almighty is God over Israel!” And the house of your servant David will be established in your sight. ‘Lord Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, “I will build a house for you.” So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you. Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant. Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever in your sight; for you, Sovereign Lord, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed for ever.’
2 Sam 7:25-29

Psalm 68:11-13
The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: ‘Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder. Even while you sleep among the sheepfolds, the wings of my dove are sheathed with silver, its feathers with shining gold.’
Psalm 68:11-13
Women
Psalm 68:4-6 Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him – his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing;
(but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. )
Lonely in families

To all who mourn in Israel he will give: beauty for ashes; joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness. For God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory.
Isaiah 61:3
Isaiah 61:7 Instead of shame and dishonor, you shall have a double portion of prosperity and everlasting joy.
DOUBLE PORTION
Isaiah 61:5-9 Foreigners shall be your servants; they shall feed your flocks and plow your fields and tend your vineyards. You shall be called priests of the Lord, ministers of our God. You shall be fed with the treasures of the nations and shall glory in their riches. Instead of shame and dishonor, you shall have a double portion of prosperity and everlasting joy. For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrong. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them. Their descendants shall be known and honored among the nations; all shall realize that they are a people God has blessed.
