base - anterior to rectum or vagina
inferior - retroperitoneal
superior - peritoneum
What are the arterial supply?
- superior and inferior vesicle arteries
These are branches of the internal iliac artery
venous drainage of bladder?
male - vesicoprostatic venous plexus
female- vesicouterine venous plexus
Both sexes - ultimately drain into internal iliac vein.
where is the Lymphatic drainage to?
external and internal iliac nodes. Obturator nodes are also a site of drainage
where are the parasympathetic fibres from? what muslces does it cause to contract?
pelvic splanchnic nerves
contract detrusor muscles and result in voiding
sympathetic nerves? what muslces does it innervate
derived from L1 and L2 via the hypogastric nerve plexuses.
innervates the muscle of the trigone
