Was a drug dealer, pimp- and burglar.
sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
Joined the nation of Islam
When he got out of prison he recruited members in Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia and New York.
he wanted to defend himself and said blacks should defend themselves.
he split from NOI and established, Organisation of Afro-Americans Unity (OAAU) he was assassinated by and NOI member in 1965
