Prolapsed cord
A
Cord emerges from uterus ahead of baby, compressed on the bony pelvis cutting off baby’s supply of oxygenated blood from the placenta

A
The placenta fails to detach properly and adheres to the uterine wall when it is expelled turning uterus inside out

Shoulder dystocia
A
The infant becomes trapped between the symphysis pubis and sacrum because it’s shoulders are larger than it’s head, head will deliver normally than retract
