Valproate
Olanzapine
Carbamazepine
Treat for 2 years
5 years if recurrent depressive episodes
DO NOT GIVE ANTIDEPRESSANTS IN MANIA

Lithium salts therapeutic range
and monitoring times
A
- 4-1mmol/L in prophylaxis
- 8-1mmol/L in acute mania
12 hours post dose and then 3 monthly no need for regular monitoring unless signs of toxicity and also changes to diet and water intake of incurrent infection
