What is summation?
A
Combined effect of excitiatory and inhibitory neurotransmitter on the post synaptic cell.
If a threshold is reached, then a new action potential will form in the post synaptic cell

What does undirectional mean?
A
Information can only be passed in one direction between neurones due to synapse structure
