What is the nervous system?
A
a network made up of the brain, spinal cord and nerves that forms a communication system

the CNS and the PNS

A
- the part of your nervous system that lies outside your brain and spinal cord
- is a complex network consisting of millions of neurons that carry information to and from the CNS
- allows communication between the CNS and external stimuli

A
the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system

What is the somatic nervous system?
A
- allows voluntary muscle movement
- connects the CNS to senses (sends sensory info from external stimuli to the brain)
