Grassland
a large open area of country covered with grass, especially one used for grazing.
Taiga
the sometimes swampy coniferous forest of high northern latitudes, especially that between the tundra and steppes of Siberia and North America.
Tundra
a vast, flat, treeless Arctic region of Europe, Asia, and North America in which the subsoil is permanently frozen.
Desert
a dry, barren area of land, especially one covered with sand, that is characteristically desolate, waterless, and without vegetation.
Deciduous Forest
Temperate deciduous forests or temperate broad-leaf forests are dominated by trees that lose their leaves each year.
Tropical Rain Forest
a tropical woodland with an annual rainfall of at least 100 inches (254 centimeters) and marked by lofty broad-leaved evergreen trees forming a continuous canopy —called also tropical rain forest. 2 : temperate rain forest.
