Biomes
A biome is a large area characterised by its vegetation, soil, climate and wildlife.

Each biome has its own unique plants and animals that, overtime, have evolved and adapted to each other and their environment, creating a delicate ecological balance.
Ecosystems
All. biomes consist of ecosystems - a natural biological unit of the environment that is made up of a living community and its physical environment. An ecosystem contains one or more habitats.
Community
All the organisms in particular ecosystem are known as a community and these organisms interact with each other and their environment.
Species
A community can contain a number of different species.
Population
All of the members of a single species that live within a geographical area are known as a population.
