Why was the pesticide DDT banned?
Because it is poisonous which gets more concentrated up the food cahin and was killing top predators such as peregrine falcons.
In a food chain, not all the energy is passed onto the next level. What happens to it?
It is lost as Movement, Respiration, growth, reproduction, excretion, nutrition.
Why are there always less predators in a food chain than prey?
Because the energy is lost through the food chain from one organism to another.
Plants need light to grow, apart from this what other resources do they need?
Water and minerals.
What word describes the moving of animals from one part of Earth to another?
Migration
