differences in characteristics are called variation.

we call this survival of the fittest or natural selection.

Alleles are genes for the characteristics and they are different forms of genes.

there are 23 pairs for male and female.
what are gametes?
gametes are sex cells.

the male gametes are sperm cells in animals pollen grains in grains.
