Q

What are the polymer names for the 4 basic organic compounds?

A
  • proteins = polypeptides
  • nucleic acids = DNA and RNA
  • carbohydrates = polysaccharides
  • lipids = diglycerides, polyglycerides*
  • technically diglycerides and polyglycerides are not polymers as they are not bonded end to end as with other polymers
