Natural & Sexual Selection
A
Natural selection is survival of the fittest in the environment, while sexual selection is about attracting mates or competing for mates.
2
Q
Reproductive Isolation mechanisms:
A
Barriers that prevent species from interbreeding, both before and after mating. Populations are physically separated by geographic barriers such as mountains, rivers, or bodies of water.
Example: Two populations of birds on different sides of a mountain range.
3
Q
Adaptive Radiation:
A
When one species diversifies into many different forms to adapt to various environments.
