Stage 1

A

The sub-cellular components like mitochondria and ribosomes are replicated. During this stage, the cell looks ‘normal’ with one dark circular nucleus

Stage 2 - mitosis

A
  1. The chromosomes line up across the middle of the cell.
  2. Each ‘arm’ of the duplicated chromosomes is pulled apart and moved the the opposite side of the cell.
  3. By the end it has 2 nuclei in 1 cell.
