Biology Flashcards
Why don’t you get ill from the same illness twice?
The antibodies remain in your blood stream so if you become ill with the same bacteria, your body knows how to treat it straight away
How to vaccines help?
A vaccine is just a dead or weak bacteria cell which is injected into you. Your body fights off this small amount of infection and next time you catch this dangerous bacteria, your body will fight it before you get any of the symptoms
How does your body fight infections?
Your body produces more white blood cells which make the correct antibodies to envelop and kill the bacteria
