Biology Flashcards
what is the difference between a plant and an animal cell?
Animal cell doesn’t have a cell wall
What is a Golgi Body?
Its a clump of bean looking things
What is the nucleus?
It is a bing circle
what is the nucleolus?
it is a small circle in the Nuceus
what is the cell membrane?
it is the outer ring
what does a Mitochondra look like?
it is the shape of a bean with ripples in it
what is the ribosomes?
it is the little dots that are everywhere
what is the vacuole?
it looks like a puddle of water
what is the cytoplasm?
it is the inside of the cell
what is the smooth ER?
it is little smooth noodle shaps that are near the nucleolus
what is the rough ER?
it is little noodles but they have bumps on them
what is the lysosome?
it is a circle that has dots in it
what is the centrioles?
it looks like tubes in a cercle
what is the difference between an animal cell and a plant cell?
Plant cells have a cell wall
what is a chloroplast
is is a oval that has lots of lines in it
what is a peroxisome?
its a circle that has a clump in it
when is a cell in Anaphase?
when chromatids are being pulled away
when is a cell in metaphase?
when chromosomes are in the middle of the cell
when is a cell in interphase?
when the cromatin is dark and you can see the nucleous
when is a call in prophase?
when there are a lot of Centrioles in the cell
when is it telophase?
when Daughter cells are splitting.
leaf
parts
what is the cuticle
it si the wax on the top of the leaf
what is the epidermis?
its the nest layer under the cuticle
what is the palisade?
its right under the epiermis
what are the Spongy parenchyma cells?
it si right under the palisade and it is a lot of dots
what is the xylem?
it is a round tube it is split in half and the xylem is the top half
what is the phoem?
it is a round tube it is split in half and the bottom half
what are the Lower epidermal cells?
they are the bottom cells
what are the guard cells?
they are hallow cells that are around the stomata
what is the stomata?
it is dark cells that are inside the guard cells.
