Q

A lobe that houses majority of the executive functions of the brain (to command, to respond, to react, to plan)

A

Frontal Lobe

17
Q

A lobe that is responsible for memories and auditory functions.

A

Temporal Lobe

18
Q

Acts as the memory center

A

Temporal Lobe

19
Q

A lobe that is also responsible for our personality

A

Frontal Lobe

20
Q

Explain the case of Phineas Gage

A

He was a railroad man who got into an accident that brought damage to his frontal lobe. Upon digging a hole that has a powederized element/chemical, the rod he was using at that time entered his face, from his left cheek exited to his right skull. He survived the incident, however, there was 180 degrees shift on his personality. According to his close keens, he became hot-tempered, and often used obscene words after the incident.

21
Q

Found in the temporal cortex which serves as the fear hub/center of the brain.

A

Amygdala

22
Q

Found in the temporal lobe who is responsible in storing memories that has strong emotional attachment.

A

Amygdala

23
Q

Term use to those individuals who do overthinking

A

Rumination

24
Q

Amygdala Highjack

A
  • Amygdala overtakes the prefrontal cortex in terms of managing the body.
  • Failure to process or used his frontal lobe for decision making
25
Q

A part of the temporal lobe that is responsible for comprehension

A

Wernicke’s Area

26
Q

Inability to remember/see faces

A

Prosopognosia
