Biological Molecules Flashcards
What is a molecule?
Multiple atoms connected together by chemical bonds.
What are organic molecules?
Contain C-H bond (carbon and hydrogen)
What are inorganic molecules?
Don’t contain C-H bond.
Which molecules can only be made by living things?
Organic molecules
What is a monomer?
Small molecules (usually less than 30 atoms)
What are polymers?
Large molecule made of multiple monomers.
