Q

Conservative vs nonconservative vs invarient

A

Conservative- tolerant for change because of similarities (+)
Nonconservative - Hypervariable (-)

Q

What is shuffling?

A

assessing the significance of our sliding alignment by “shuffling,” or randomly rearranging, one of the sequences. If alignment score is greater than the shuffling it strongly suggests similarity
