Q

what is the importance of biodiversity

A

biodiversity can be used to describe a range of habitats, from SMALL LOCAL HABITATS to the entire EARTH
(ecosystems like desert or arctic have low biodiversity due to the abiotic factors being harsh)
- a variety of different organisms can be considered by;genetic, habitat and species diversity

Q

how is the index of diversity different to species richness
