Plants definition
one of a large group of living things that use sunlight to make their own food. Plants use a green pigment called chlorophyll to absorb energy from sunlight through photosynthesis.
Biodiversity defenition
the variety of plant and animal life in the world or in a particular habitat, a high level of which is usually considered to be important and desirable.
Animals definition
one of a large group of living things that can move around by themselves to find food. Animals eat plants, funguses, or other animals. Birds, reptiles, fish, amphibians, mammals, insects, snails, and worms are some of the major kinds of animals.
Ants, cats, and elephants are all animals.
Ecosystems
a community of living things, together with their environment.
Native species
(biology) a Species, species that normally lives and thrives in a particular ecosystem. This can include any species that developed with the surrounding habitat, and can be assisted by or affected by a new species.
Introduced species
A species that does not occur naturally in a given area, though has been introduced to it.
Invasive species
A species is regarded as invasive if it has been introduced by human action to a location, area, or region where it did not previously occur naturally
