-Viruses are smaller than bacteria.
-Viruses cause disease in every type of living organism.
-They usually have a regular shape.
In steps, how do viruses take over the cells of your body?
Step 1-Virus attaches to cell.
Step 2-Virus enters the cell.
Step 3-Virus’s genetic material takes over the host’s cell’s nucleus.
Step 4-New virus parts are made by the host cell.
Step 5-The new viruses break out of the cell, destroying it, to then go and take over another cell.
What are three chemical barriers of a plant defense?
-poisons
-antibacterial secretions
-anti fungal secretions
What is the zone of inhibition
-The area around the antiseptic that didnt produce any bacteria
-Large zone = more effective antiseptic
