Q

Anaerobic digesters.

A

input: thickened sludge.
micro-organisms break down the organic material and also create biogas.
output digested sludge

Q

Digestor Gas and Sludge Storage Tanks

A

input: Digesteted gas and sludge
uses foam seperators. purpose is to increase digestion and also thicken some more
output: digested sludge and gas

Q

Digested Foam Device

A

purpose is to thicken the sludge and scum.
Saturated air is added to the tank. this causes the solids concentration to increase and the sludge to float to the top. this sludge is then skimmed off the surface with scrappers
output: Thickened Sludge

Q

Centrifuge

A

Input: Digested sludge and Polymer
Part of the dewatering process. uses centrifugal force to separate the solids from the liquids
Output: Sludge cake
