Intro
I watched a digital live theatre performance of Billy Elliot live, performed on 28th September 2014 at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London’s West End. The director was Stephen Daldry. The musical is based during the miner’s strikes in the 1980s. Billy goes to ballet class instead of boxing and finds his passion. Themes in this show include role of man vs women, political ideas and socioeconomic problems. I found the musical enjoyable and moving as it made me see how far society has come from then to now.
