Citizens are not forced by government to let soldiers stay in there house

No Unreasonable search of private property or arrest ( without a warrant )
4th amendment
Can’t be on trial 2 for the same crime twice, The right to remain silent , The right to self incriminate
5th amendment
Rights of accused criminals to have a fair and speedy trial . The right to have a lawyer
6th amendment
Trial by jury in non criminal cases
7th amendment
It protects criminals for having cruel or unusual punishments.
8th amendment
Peoples rights are not limited by the Constitution
9th amendment
The federal government only has power mentioned it the constitution
10th amendment
A government where people rule

People exercises their power by voting

Federal government is split up into 3 branches of government ( Legislative , Executive Judicial , )

A system preventing a branch from becoming to powerful
Limited government
All citizens and government leaders have to obey the law
