Amendment 2 (II)
The people have the right to bare arms

Amendment 3 (III)
No soldier shall enter a citizen’s house and stay there without approval from the house owner

Police cannot search your house or belonging without a Warrant.

You do not have to say anything that might make you sound guilty of a crime

People have the right to a quick trail time and a public trail

Nineteenth Amendment XIX
- gives women the right to vote in 1920 (early as 1848)
- provided women with suffrage
- national voting, state voting, county voting
- Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton
Twenty-forth amendment XXIV
- abolished poll taxes in 1964
- allowed African-Americans to vote without being restricted by the state’s rule
Twenty-sixth amendment XXVI
- Set the voting age at 18 passed in 1971
- wanted the drafting age to be consistent with the voting age 21:18
- after the Vietnam war
Civil rights
- prohibited discrimination in public facilities, employment, education, and voter registration
- eliminated discrimination by color of skin, sex, gender, religion, and national origin
Voting Rights Act
- Insured that all citizens, no matter what race, would have the opportunity to vote in 1965
