Negative or disparaging remark’s that can hurt a person’s reputation.
Defamation
(Fifth and fourteenth amendment’s) a constitutional guarantee that is invoked when fundamental rights are denied based on particular classification
Equal protection clause
The guarantee that the government cannot favor any one religion
Establishment clause
an individual has the right to freely practice his or her religion without government interference
Free exercise clause
law that attempts to regulate more then is allowed by the constitution
overbroad law
asks wether the government followed the proper procedures in depriving a particular individual of liberty or property rights
procedural due process
Ask’s wether or not the government is infringing on the fundamental right’s of an individual
substantive due process
Private property cannot be taken for public use without just compensation
Taking clause
A law so unclear you cannot tell what is being prohibited and what is being allowed
