Where does blue and red blood come from?
They come from your body then goes into your lungs to get oxygen ,(it recharges) then it goes back to your heart.
How many chambers does the heart have?
4 chambers.
What would happen if the heart didn’t have valves?
The pump wouldn’t work.

From one chamber to the other
What is the role of the valve?
It keeps the blood flowing in one direction rather than having it flow all over the place.
How many beats per minute does the heart beat?
60-100 beats per minute when at rest.
During which activity does the heart beat the fastest?
When you’re scared or nervous or when you’re doing physical activity.
During which activity does the heart beat the slowest?
When you’re asleep.
Why is exercise good for your heart?
When your muscles need more oxygen, it forces the heart to beat faster which strengthens the heart.
What makes the muscles in your heart move?
Electricity makes the heart contract.
Where does the electricity come from?
There’s a patch of nerves on the right side of the heart that sends the electricity to the heart.
What is the name of the natural pace maker?
Sinoatrial nerves.
How is the heart muscle different from the rest of the muscles in your body?
Muscles in your arms are striated muscles.
Muscles in your stomach are smooth muscles.
Muscles in your heart are cardiac muscles.
What is a striated muscle?
They’re skeletal muscles.
What are cardiac muscles?
They’re strong and contract quickly.
