A
The flow of bile is blocked from the liver to the gallbladder.

What are the SS of Biliary atresia?
A
Jaundice persisting 2 to 3 weeks of age (most common early symptoms)
Putty like white or gray stools
Tea colored urine
Intense itching/irritability
Malnutrition

What could be possible reasons for EA and TEF on children?
A
Maternal polyhydramnios(too much amuitic fluid)
Midline anomalies
Vater syndrome
Low birth weight

What are the SS of EA and TEF?
A
Excessive frothy mucus from mouth and nose
3 Cs
Coughing, CHoking and Cyanosisp
