A

Exchange chloride ions for bile acid in the gut -> Bind to bile acids -> bile acid-resin complex is excreted -> prevens enterohepatic cycling -> Liver synthesize replacement bile acid from cholesterol.

Ezetimibe (Ezetimibe - Glucoronide)

A

Moa - Inhibts absorption dietary cholestrol (Annexin-2 & Caveolin-1)

Indication - H.cholesterolemia (alone or w/statin)
Homozygos familial H.cholesterolemia(w/statin)

Adverse - Well tolerated - headache & Myalgia = rare
