Singularity
Universe began as a hot dense ball.
It was made entirely of radiation and it was so hot and dense that known laws of physics likely didn’t exist.
Inflation
First phase of expansion.
was the beginning of space and time (took less than 1×10 to the power of -12 for temperature of the universe to cool enough for forces such as gravity to exist)
the universe has continued to increase in sizedecrease in tempand decrease in density
following the initial rapid inflation, the universe consisted of a plasma soup containing nuclei electrons and photons
temperature is the early universe are too high for light to escape
Dark ages
Once the early universe cooled enough for neutral atoms to form and light to escape it entered the dark ages
The first galaxies and structures in the present universe formed 1 billion years after the Big Bang
The deaths of the first stars introduced complex matter (heavy-metal compounds etc.) to the universe
The universe is expected to continue growing and cooling overtime in the growth of the universe is expected to accelerate due to dark energy
Big freeze
universe will eventually cool down to the point that it will lose all light and the age of the stars will end
